Service Repair Tech

Apex is currently looking for our next top level service tech to join our team in our newly added Repair Facility in Romeoville, IL.
JOB DESCRIPTION 
  • Repair various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment – including but not limited to AC/DC Motors, Pumps and Gearboxes
  • Read job cards to determine job status, work authorization/limitations, estimates, description of problems and expected service ability
  • Test electro-mechanical equipment to troubleshoot known or suspected problems using various methods and special testing equipment
  • Disassemble electro-mechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration and condition
  • Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps,
  • including but not limited to parts washers/steamers
  • Correctly requisition needed items from purchasing department
  • Replace or repair worn or defective mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies - including but not limited to bearings, brushes, brush holders, motor leads, gears, seals, impellers, mechanic switches, brakes and clutches
  • Retest reassembled electro-mechanical equipment for proper output and operations. Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis
  • Operations specialized repair and testing equipment and other equipment as needed
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear
  • Lift, tighten, adjust and secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties
  • Must be dependable and prompt

Job Type:  Full-Time, 1st Shift

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE - Electro Mechanical 2-5 years or Applied Education

Shop Apprentice


Apex is currently looking for the right individual to begin their career with Apex and grow with us. This is an entry level position.
Job Overview:
  • Receive and enter incoming repair item in our ERP system.
  • Testing of incoming repairs on specialized testing equipment 
  • Clean electro-mechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps,  including but not limited to parts washers/steamers 
  • Balancing completed repairs on specialized testing equipment 
  • Final painting and tagging of all completed repairs 
  • Work/Assist Experienced repair techs on repairs
  • Secondary back up driver for pick up or delivery of repairs.
  • Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear 
  • Lift, tighten, adjust and secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties 
  • Must be dependable and prompt
 

Job Type:  Full-Time, 1st Shift with overtime available

Siemens Shipping/Receiving Clerk

Apex is currently looking for the right individual to begin their career with Apex and grow with us. This is an entry level position.

Job Overview:

  • Completed required computer and paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis
  • Process New Services Orders coming into shops - Write Ups and Computer Entry
  • Operate specialized repair and testing equipment and other equipment as needed
  • Deliveries & Pick Ups of motor repairs and product when needed
  • Lift, tighten, adjust and or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties
  • Clean equipmentassemblies as needed utilizing parts washers, steams and power washers
  • Painting of final repairs
  • Attain and keep current with the knowledge and skills required to provide information, service and assistance to fellow team members and customer
  • Provide help to other team members in a courteous and professional manner
  • Must follow all safety regulations
  • Must be dependable & prompt
  • Must keep work area organized and cleam
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must maintain a valid and good standing Illinois Driver's Licesnse
